JD 7Fresh has opened its first 24-hour unmanned intelligent coffee shop beneath Beijing's Galaxy SOHO, where a fully automated line and an embodied robot churn out espresso at remarkable speed. On opening day the system set a Guinness World Record for the most cups served in an hour by a robot coffee shop, delivering 202 drinks.
Customers order through a mini program; in the back, automated equipment handles cup placement, ice, brewing, labeling and quality checks before a front-of-store embodied robot carries each drink to a pickup cabinet. JD 7Fresh says a single cup can be made in as little as 20 seconds, with stable output within 30 seconds, and the line can brew seven to eight cups at once. The menu matches other 7Fresh outlets at 6.9 to 12.9 yuan, with an AI personalization feature that lets customers adjust sweetness and coffee strength, though it currently covers only four drinks.
