GalaxySpace delivered a CubeSat to Thailand's GISTDA via a Long March 6C launch, marking the first whole-satellite build, launch and in-orbit handover by a Chinese commercial space firm to Southeast Asia.
On August 25 at 11:21 a.m. Beijing time, a Long March 6C rocket lifted off from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, placing seven satellites into orbit. Among them was China's Lingzhi-09 Thai CubeSat, developed and delivered by GalaxySpace to Thailand's Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA) — the first time a Chinese commercial space firm has completed a whole-satellite build, launch and in-orbit delivery to Southeast Asia.
